Vicious Silh/ Virtuous Silh

Silh is a unique kind of character. It is an amorphous embodiment of energy- dark holy to be specific. Silh is flexible and clever, and the least developed character I've ever played.

I originally intended Silh as a roleplaying experiment. The character was to start somewhat of a blank slate. Silh had no gender, no morals, very little backstory, and very little in the way of personality, other than an innate curiosity. The development of the character was to be based around the interaction of the other PC's in game... and then we see how it goes from there.

I've been playing Silh in game for several months now. There were many occasions where I was tempted to abandon the character for one reason or another, but I always found myself entranced by the sheer volume of possibilities that surrounded Silh's setup. The moral development of the character has been a sticking point for me, because I find it to be one of the biggest challenges in roleplaying. It's so easy for people to see their characters from the third person and to be unaffected by the circumstances affecting the character, but there's not much point to roleplaying without some level of immersion. Moral ambiguity is just one of the consequences of the immersion (of course, depending on your DM). Gaming gets interesting when you all of a sudden have to actually CONSIDER your moral standing.

The way I see it, there are still a LOT of possibilities for the development of Silh. The character still doesn't have an assigned gender, and is struggling through some moral development. Morals kinda suck when your mentors are... questionable. Consequently, there is a bit of anger welling inside Silh, and at this point could go easily down either the good or evil path.

Have some actual art with some actual meaning.
