Mollye sat in her living room with her nose buried in a book. She was not disturbed by the sound of thunder or by the bright flashes of lightning against the dark, cloudy sky. She loved to read books on evenings like this, especially murder mysteries. The one that she was reading that evening held particular interest to her, as the beginning of the book seemed to tell the story of her life 13 years ago. She sunk deeper into the couch she was reclining on as she felt her eyes well up with tears.

Edit- I edited things.

I spent an inordinate amount of time on the background for this, and it still came out nothing like I had planned.

Also, I really, REALLY couldn't think of a title.

Anyway, this is Krystal. You may (or may not) recognize her from other images stashed off in this folder. Here she is pictured on a bridge outside her home town. The pagoda towering in the background is the local library, one of the only landmarks of the city that I cared to illustrate >.>

I'll probably be posting the background from this as a separate deviation, being as how I quite liked how it turned out....

I want to print this up at work to see how it comes out in larger format... but we haven't any decent 12x18 paper there. Its all this paper thin rag. :/

Might go out and buy a ream of the good stuff today, since we're going to probably need it in the long run anyway.

For the record I'm not sore about it actually. I thought it was awesome character developement.

I had the thought actually, it would be really interesting to go back and play that campaign again with the new ki skill system. Everything would seem much more like magic with it.

I am NOT running that campaign again.
It was way to much work to make it go as well as it did the first time, and I think that trying to do it again would.. well, make it lose what magic it had.
